How we began......
Kidsgrove was designed by the children of the community in Selinsgrove, PA and is the center of pride and enjoyment of all who use it. It is a uniquely large playground with many great ammenities. It is a very inclusive play area - so that ALL of our little friends may come and have fun.
The idea for Kidsgrove came by way of Dick Norman. He had a dream of building this type of playground for his community and for the children. Kidsgrove would not be a reality now if it were not for all his dedication and hard work. Dick has a very big heart and a lot of love and caring when it comes to the chldren and his community. His dreams became a reality on September 17th, 1997 when construction for Kidsgrove began. In the 11 years since it's inception Kidsgrove has grown into what it is today.

This past year, twelve years after Kidsgrove was built, Dick Norman stepped down as President of the Board of Kidsgrove, Inc. He continues to help out and coordinates many of the volunteer groups that work to build and maintain the playground. His "pet" project of Mini Town will be finished this summer under his watchful eyes. The Board is hopeful that Dick never tires of his involvement with us - his dedication, motivation and dreams are infectious. We hope Kidsgrove will continue with the same enthusiasm as when Dick was as the helm. Thank you Dick for your vision and hard work. Kidsgrove is indeed a special place to all in the community and we appreciate having it.
Where we are today.....
Kidsgrove comes complete with restroom facilities (diaper changing area in both the men and women's rooms), and a large pavillion with many tables for your picnicking. This summer we hope to add several small picnic spaces and seating places. If you have any suggestions for future projects that would make Kidsgrove even better please contact us.
