Volunteers Needed!

We are currently looking for individuals to join the Kidsgrove board and to help lock/unlock the food pantry and do other small daily tasks at the playground. The board meets 4 times per year. We also always need individuals to volunteer, even if just for an hour, to help with the maintenance and upkeep of the playground grounds (painting, weeding, trimming trees, etc...). We also are in need of assistance with carpentry tasks. The playground is not maintained by the borough and is completely volunteer-run. If you'd like to learn more, email kidsgrove2@gmail.com!

Raise the Region 2020

**UPDATE 3/13/2020 –THANK YOU to all who donated to us during the 2020 Raise the Region event. We are closer to being able to upgrade the playground to make it safer and more ADA compliant! We are participating in the Raise the Region Fundraising event on March 11 and 12. Donate Now Kidsgrove is not maintained by the boro and no local tax dollars are used in the upkeep or the ongoing improvements and additions. We are hoping to raise $200,000 to make our playground more ADA compliant.Our mission is to be a safe and inclusive play space for all children. Thank You to our Volunteers!

On April 26th, about 25 volunteers came out early in the morning and braved the rain for the United Way Day of Caring. Despite calling it quits before lunch due to the downpours, the volunteers accomplished A LOT, and the playground looks so much better! On April 27th, 5 young women from Susquehanna University stopped over to clean out Mini Town and the surrounding area in preparation for mulching and planting new flowers. Every volunteer was a pleasure to work with and was so hard-working! We cannot thank you all enough for helping! Kidsgrove is a playground that is maintained by the community, for the community.
