The ongoing maintenance of Kidsgrove is something that requires a lot of time and effort from a lot of people. We are fortunate to have so many wonderful people volunteer here at Kidsgrove throughout the course of the year. Many are individuals and others are part of groups and every one of them is appreciated.
Several Saturdays ago we welcomed the services of a great group of students from Susquehanna University who were part of the SU G.I.V.E. program. The program is for Freshman students and this year we had an especially fine group.
Some of the projects they helped with were; scrubbing wood on the fence and various features in the little kids area in preparation for the application of sealant, weeding and distribution of mulch in the many flower and plant beds around Kidsgrove, weed wacking around the park and sifting out the sand in the main sandbox to remove debris (and animals love our sandbox).
Below is a gallery of some photos I took of the Susquehanna students at work. If you have some time and would like to volunteer at Kidsgrove please contact us!
